Mindfulness!

With the beginning of another year of the pandemic, it has become necessary to set your goals keeping all negative and positive aspects of life in mind. While it is important to figure out how to accomplish your goals, we should dedicate a part of our time to practise self-care. Do we maintain work-life balance? Do we set time aside for ourselves? Every one of us does it in our own way. It also feels good when we listen to other’s shared experiences or tips. It’s up to us to decide whether we will follow or just ignore them.

- After your stressed work-from-home hours, have a walk around your neighbourhood. It not only burns your extra fat, but also helps you see what is around. Every time you may find something new, or meet someone who is interesting.

- If you have a child at home, do sit in the couch to watch cartoons with her/him. The funny characters may amuse you with their strange talks and activities. It’s pure joy.

- Is your partner addicted to watch a televised soap or what we call a serial? Sit with a cup of tea to get a feeling of that. It’s not all nuisances and a stupid set-up! The serials, either a family drama or a mythological opera, may take you to a world where there is no work stress for some time.

- If you have a balcony or a window that gets a touch of the sunbeam, drench yourself in that for at least five minutes. Sunrays provide positivity and calmness, even happiness.

- Do you have a small plant in a pot? It can be anything like a patch of grass or some costly nursery brand. Water your green spot and stare at it. It will give you delight.
